AMCON Appoints Fagbemi New Aero MD

Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) has appointed Mr. Tunde Fagbemi as the new Managing Director of Aero Contractors.

On Friday AMCON announced that it had taken over the airline 100 per cent as a creditor and manager and on Saturday appointed Fagbemi who was formerly the CEO of Maevis Nigeria Limited as new Managing Director.

According to a statement signed by AMCON, An Industry based management team would be put in place to provide the highest level of professional competence which would ensure a quick repositioning of the company.

Fagbemi has been around in the aviation industry and has garnered experience providing the first IT based passenger facilitation system at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, which reduced the time spent by passengers before they are checked in to their flights.

The management of AMCON decided to make changes in the Management of the airline to protect the brand heritage of the airline, a very well cherished value. AMCON also maintains that its intervention is in the public interest to sustain and improve the robust and premium quality service, which Aero is known for in the country.
