Amb. Bianca Ojukwu will be cutting the tape to formerly open the Wedding & Spa Show at Akwaaba Travel Market. Other VIP’s are also lined up to declare other Sessions open at the 3day Travel Trade Event. This comes as the organizers have stopped all registration of Exhibitors as all spaces have been booked. The space used this year is the same used last year and will not accommodate new exhibitors. According to Rita-Ikechi Uko ”it is sad that we cannot accommodate more Exhibitors this year but we hope that these Exhibitors will book early next year”. Bianca Ojukwu-the wife of the former Nigerian Leader Chief Odumeugwu Ojukwu is also a former beauty queen who has since moved into Diplomacy.
The Wedding show is sponsored by Dubai Tourism in partnership with Emirates and will feature over 10 countries showcasing amazing Wedding & Honeymoon destinations, Weekend Getaways and Spa Sanctuaries. There will also be a raffle where visitors can win free tickets to amazing destinations. It also features guest presentation by Seyi Olusanya on “planning a destination Wedding”. The wedding show will hold on the 22nd of Nov from 2pm. Earlier in Sept, registration of Visitors who will be attending this year’ Akwaaba Travel Market slated for the22nd-24th of Nov. 2015 was announced. The International Air Transport Association (IATA), in line with their objective to bring connectivity in Africa has partnered with Akwaaba to organize the Aviation day. The Aviation day will hold on the 23rd of Nov, the 2nd day of Akwaaba from10am. Adefunke Adeyemi, IATA Regional Head for Member (Airline) and External Relations for Africa and the Middle East will be sharing a recent study at the Aviation Day. The event themed “National Carrier, Open Skies and Connectivity in Africa” will also feature other Guest Presentations, attendance is by registration. The event is open to only Travel Trade Professionals.
The Hospitality Day which focuses on the Hospitality Industry will feature presentations on the usage of various latest Technologies to drive sales & retain clients. Country Manager- Travelstart Nigeria, Lilian Obinna-Igwe will be discussing ‘Online Travel Booking in Africa and How It Works’.
