The founder of WEF, Hajarah Alhassan, while speaking on the airline’s support for the event said, ‘’ we have chosen Dana Air to fly our participants and we thank the airline for always showing commitment to the anything and everything that concerns women particularly women entrepreneurs.

We are grateful to the airline because we initiated this program to enlighten, empower and showcase women entrepreneurs so that they can be funded by individuals, corporate organizations or government.’’

Similarly, the airline has also supported the Women in Media Development Initiative held earlier in the year as part of its commitment to the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day celebration tagged ‘Balanceforbetter’’

The WIMDI which held in partnership with Women FM, is designed to Assist, motivate, promote and reward excellence among members through consistent and effective training locally and

Commenting on Dana Air’s support for both initiatives, The Media and Communications Manager of the Dana Air, Kingsley Ezenwa said Nigerian women are strong, courageous and industrious and any form of bias against them is highly unacceptable to us at Dana Air.

We believe that giving the women equal support and opportunities is a panacea for a better and balanced society and this also resonates with the theme for this year’s International Women’s Day celebration’’
