FAAN Opens Another Car Park Entrance to Ease Gridlock at MMIA

in order to end the traffic gridlock caused by the multi-story new car park opened recently at the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has opened another entrance to reduce traffic in front of the car park, which encumbers vehicular traffic to the arrival and departure sections of the airport.
spokes person of the agency and the General Manager, Public Affairs, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu explained that the new entrance, situated along the Airline Services Limited (ASL)/Blue Lodge Hotel road, which became operational on Wednesday November 8, 2017, would ease vehicular traffic on the main road leading to the departure frontage.
With this added facility, there is now an alternative entrance for airport users desirous of using the car park and facilitation will greatly improve, especially as the yuletide season, usually characterised by heavy vehicular and human traffic is fast approaching.
The Authority appeals to travelers and other airport users to ensure compliance to parking rules and other security regulations at the airport, in the interest of all.
FAAN said it would continue to deliver on its core values of safety, service and comfort.
