The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aviation Services Limited, Mr. Nick Fadugba, has confirmed participation at the forthcoming seminar of the League of Airports and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC).
Fadugba would present a paper on ‘Partnerships as Key to Survival of Local Airlines.’ Apart from him, other resources persons are expected to present various papers to about 250 participants who operate within the industry and outside it.
Fadugba who was also a former Secretary General, African Airlines Association (AFRAA) in his confirmation e-mail to LAAC said that he was pleased to be part of the event, which he said would help to further shape the African aviation industry.
He added: “I am willing to present a paper on the topic given to me by the league. I will physically be present on the date chosen for the seminar.”
Fadugba, was Co-Chairman, African Airlines/MRO Africa Technical Committee on Line Maintenance Co-operation & Spares Pooling in Africa, Co-Chairman, African Airlines/MRO Africa Technical Committee on Aviation Standards & Regulations Harmonisation in Africa, Vice Chairman, Safety & Training Committee, African Business Aviation Association (AfBAA), Advisor, Association of African Aviation Training Organisations (AATO), former Secretary General, African Airlines Association (AFRAA) and Lead Moderator, Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM) official launch discussion at African Union (AU) Headquarters, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
He is also a Member, Institute of Directors (IOD), United Kingdom (UK), Member, International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT), USA, Committee Member, Aviation Club of the UK, Member, European Aviation Club, Member, German Aviation Research Society (GARS) and Launch Member, African Business Aviation Association (AfBAA).
Fadugba holds BSc (Honours), Mass Communication, Post Graduate Diploma, Air Transport Management, MSc (Distinction), Air Transport Planning & Management and MSc Dissertation Award Winner.
Fadugba has won several awards and recognitions in the sector, among which were AFRAA Award Winner for ‘Outstanding Services to the African Aviation Industry,’ presented with a Plaque by the US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) for ‘Outstanding Contribution and Service to Aviation Safety,’ Aviation Round Table (ART), Nigeria, Award Winner for ‘Invaluable Support and Contribution to the Upliftment of Aviation Safety in Africa, particularly in Nigeria,’ among others.
The seminar with the theme: ‘Financing Aviation Development Through Private Sector Partnerships,’ would hold on July 19, 2018 at the Sheraton Hotels and Towers in Lagos.
Other topics to be presented at the seminar include; ‘Funding Perspectives of Aviation Security in Nigeria,’ ‘Federal/State Government Partnership in Air Navigational Development and ‘Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Financing.
