Imo Air operated by Dana Air has announced that it will partner the House of FREEDA on the unveiling of ELFREEDA Foundation, scheduled to hold on 11th August, 2017 at the Imo Trade and Investment Centre, Owerri Imo state.
ELFREEDA Foundation is a non- profit organization aimed at providing a stabilizing base for homeless women and children to rebuild their lives as they transit back to the society. The nongovernmental organization aims to provide the basic needs for desperate and vulnerable homeless women and children, helping them build more stable and productive lives, while addressing the causes and consequences of homelessness in Nigeria.
According to the Communications Manager of Imo Air, Kingsley Ezenwa, “providing the basic necessities of life is the best thing any organization or individual can do to the underprivileged in our society. Considering the present economic situation in the country, we believe supporting a foundation like this will not only lessen the burden on our already overburdened government, but will take away the ‘destitute’ from the streets, rehabilitate them and give them a reason to smile again.”
“Just as Elizabeth Andrew said ‘volunteers don’t necessarily have the time; they have the heart.’’ We are proud to partner the ELFREEDA Foundation and commend the founder, Mrs Uloma Nwosu, for this massive humanitarian effort. And as a responsible corporate citizen committed to giving back to the society, we assure her of our constant support.”
