NAHCO Wins Best Handling Company & Transport CEO of the Year Award

The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (nahco aviance) has emerged the Best Aircraft Handling Company & Transport CEO of the Year 2017 for West Africa

The award winners were announced at the Logistics, Warehouse & Supply Chain Awards 2017, organized by the Transport News INTL.

In announcing the awards, the newsmagazine said the 2017 Logistics, Warehouse & Supply Chain Awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the achievements made by companies, teams and individuals due to their tireless efforts and dedication to their work. It said that on a daily basis they work to ensure that the communication between a company and the supplier is strong, and efficient.

nahco aviance is one of few global operators who won segments of the awards. Other winners include Dnata, BF Global Logistics, NLI International Corp and Freightera Inc.

Also on the list of winners are Saxon Air Charter Ltd, Filmline Ltd, GEODIS, South African Angel Gabriel Aeronautics and PRL Group.

The awards organiser found nahco aviance most suitable in its category of entry particularly its leadership of the segment and the key achievements of the Company’s CEO, Mr. Norbert Bielderman, who had kept the Company above waters in an economy in recession.

A statement by Transport News quote Steve Simpson, Awards Coordinator as saying, “Supply chains keep the corporate world moving, and therefore this often overlooked market plays a vital part in the global business landscape. As such it has been a true honour to be able to showcase the hard work and dedication of these exceptional firms, and the individuals behind them, and I would just like to wish them the very best of luck for the future.”

The statement added, “Transport News prides itself on the validity of its awards and winners. The awards are given solely on merit and are awarded to commend those most deserving for their ingenuity and hard work, distinguishing them from their competitors and proving them worthy of recognition.”

It pointed out that within the transport industry, communication between networks is key in the planning, implementation and coordination of the business or other operations. The network that runs between a company and its suppliers to produce and distribute a specific product efficiently is essential to this industry. These factors, executed by the companies, firms and individuals of these dynamic sectors, are what form the backbone of the transport industry.
