Nigerian Dies Aboard Emirates Flight

A young Nigerian woman who connected Emirates flight from South Africa, Kofo Abaniwonda was reported to have died on aboard Emirates Airline.

She died Friday and was buried on Saturday at Ikorodu, reports indicated.

Sources at the airport indicated that the deceased, a young woman and a professional, might have travelled to seek medical attention in South Africa but may have suffered critical attacks on her back to Nigeria.

The deceased with passport number A07562816 was said to be unwell throughout the flight and lost consciousness severally before she finally gave up the ghost.

Emirates’ Nigerian operation has kept mum over the incident.

on arrival, the airline crew was said to have notified the medical team of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) who confirmed the death of Abaniwonda by the head of FAAN’s medical team Dr. Akano

FAAN officials reportedly evacuated her body from the aircraft, loaded her in a FAAN ambulance and moved her to the general hospital in Ikeja, from where she was taken and buried the following day.
