The Economy of ABIA state has been stagnating, infrastructures have broken down, Industries are in Comatose, Investors are on the run.
It is distressing beyond words and imaginations to chronicle Abia’s woes. The Administration of Ikpeazu seems not to have the faintest understanding of what a relatively functional society is all about.
The government is in disarray, commissioners are busy bagging money beyond the fatal consequence, the Judiciary lost their morals and integrity, it is now by how much you can offer.
Earlier this year, a Facebook social cultural group (Igboist) which I am a member of posted about the most hostile state for investors in southeast and to my greatest surprise, 95% of the comments pointed at ABIA.
As a political scientist with an inquisitive mind I made my personal investigations. Most people I interviewed complained about the corruption in the judiciary, the corruption and oppression in the executive.
In course of their complaints, the name Kalu Ume (SAN) kept on coming up, on how they (investors) have been made to give him large sums of money on several occasions.
This led to my own personal Investigations on the Said Kanu Ume. I was able to understand that he is the Attorney General of the State, who has vowed to disrupt the activities of the state in general and to oust the present deputy Governor by every means possible in order to replace him as the deputy Governor
My question is this
Is Ikpeazu a party to this?
Why has Ikpeazu not reacted to this?
Why has Governor not called his commissioners who are perceived as rogues, illiterates and highly corrupt to order?
Why is the Judiciary which should be the last hope of the common man swimming in corruption.
Interestingly the governor seems so comforted with all these, probably because he came into power through rigging or he is benefiting from these scandalous acts.
Abians should mobilize and vote in a man with morals and integrity in this coming election or the state will continue with half step forward and 10 steps backward.
But for the meantime, my heartfelt sympathy to Abians as they suffer the corrupt actions and inactions of their government.
